The City of Love

It might just be called the city of love because it’s so easy to fall in love with the city. Around a week ago I had the amazing opportunity to spend my weekend in Paris, (I know, what is life?), and it was incredible! I was only there for two nights, but it was enough to appreciate the perfection that is Paris. Since I was only there for a couple of days we had to hit all the major attractions in a small amount of time. If anyone thinks you can’t see most of the Parisian monuments in one day, I am living proof that they are wrong.

We hit Sacre Coeur in the morning, ate lunch at the Luxembourg gardens, went on a stroll under the Eiffel Tower during the afternoon, sat and rested at the Seine, hit up the Louvre after dinner, and then visited the Arc de Triomphe in the evening. I know, talk about a long day. The next day was much more relaxing; we visited Hillsong Paris and then chilled until we had to leave. Although our first day in the city of light was packed, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Walking down the streets of Paris was a surreal experience, I felt like I was in a dream. The people were not as rude as I expected and were actually mostly polite. Strangely enough, I thought Paris was uncannily similar to one of my favorite cities São Paulo, Brazil. Oddly enough, I googled it, and São Paulo is one of the few partner cities with Paris. But of course, we don’t have the same monuments as Paris in São Paulo. Nevertheless, I thought it was an interesting fact.

Although two days in Paris didn’t feel like enough time, I think it was long enough for the city to put its spell on me and I am now in love with the city of love.

Bye Paris, I hope we see each other again soon!
